Therefore, we, as a specialized data bank in the Maritime Transport field, are moving
forward towards developing the maritime transport industry in Egypt, through providing
accurate comprehensive data and information, whether in the form of news (e-bulletin)
or specialized reports, which decision makers can depend upon for the purpose of
supporting the commetitive potential in the shadow of globalization that has became
the reality of the 21th century.
It is time for the Maritime Transport to occupy its role as a real incentive for
Egyptian economy and as a major participant in all economical activities, which
promise better future. Maritime Transport is the spine of activating economy through
the next stage with all other different sectors of industry, agriculture, trade
and export. This appears in the uniqueness of the geographical location of Egypt,
as the Mediterranean and Red Seas make Egypt a gateway and forum for international
trade and establish civilization and industry and form the Egyptian entity.
It has been clarified that entering the International Maritime Transport market
is not only for ports, but also for maritime transport subsystems. This is based
upon the new concept of maritime transport as one of the main chains of multimodal
transport and that ports are the gateways and adding an additional value as they
are not warehouses and with the concept launched from realizing the Egyptian location
as its ports are not for its own goods only but for the world’s goods.
The objective of taking care of ports whether through develping existing ports or
through establishing new ones, is to make these ports supportive and participant
in developing various fields.
