The quality of information lies in being selected from official and authenticated resources; such as the central departments in the Maritime Transport Sector, Port Authorities, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) and International Trade Point…etc.


  • Available Services:

  (1) Direct Search in the Central Data Base of the EMDB:

Due to the continuous and effective development, a new interactive service has been established to serve all who may be concerned with the Egyptian maritime transport. For the first time, direct search can be conducted through the central data bases. Now, all the members can benefit from this service. The members can determine the reports' requirements according to their needs and obtain the required data and statistical reports.

(2) EMDB Publications (Group of Specialized Periodicals in Arabic and English)
(A) Statistical Yearbook: It includes vessel, cargo, container and passenger traffic in all main ports including the performance of shipping lines operating in these ports, in addition to the totals of the Suez Canal Traffic. It also includes reports on National Commercial Fleet Vessel and Egyptian Maritime Units, in addition to data of accidents, pollution and maritime labor. The book also handles most included reports with economical and statistical analysis.
(B) Maritime Ports Guide: It includes the main data of Egyptian Main and Specialized Ports; such as data of berths, docks, warehouses, equipments, services, fees and tariffs and the most documents required from vessels for its entrance and exit from and to ports, in addition to the characteristics of the Suez Canal.
(C) Maritime Yellow Pages: Main data of companies, agencies, associations and authorities
working in the maritime transport field in Egypt, including the activities and services presented to clients.
(3) Analytical studies and reports (depending on the official EMDB data bases) through pre-set reports.
