Port Description

  • The port is located on the Mediterranean Sea, in Sidi-kreir. It is used for mooring & shipping of oil tankers, and it is exclusively specified for Sumid motorboats, according to a scheme approved by the Minister of Petroleum as a representative of the Egyptian Government.
  • Anti – pollution equipments are available using Oil Dispersant. All navigation aids are also available at Sidi-kreir area.
  • The motorboat port is located in kilo 29 of Alexandria / Marsa Matrouh desert road. there is 6 buoys for mooring on 5km .attat cheel with range between 25:30 m .and The port is 2 km away from this road. The maximum height of waves is 5.6 and the tide is 2 knots and depth measurement is till 35 m.

Port Services and Facilities

Water Fresh water is provided by Sumid co. through water net connected to west Alexandria.
Electricity Sumid Company provides the electrical power through the sector's plant 220 k. v / 11 k v
Telephones Telephone lines are provided by the Telecommunications Authority through a Radio net connected to all international Maritime channels.
Sewage Drainage ditch net is provided by Sumid co. (discharged is not carried out into Sea water)
Solid Rubbish An incinerator is under construction in the sector
