TM inaugurates the maritime tourist line “Hurghada- Sharm ElSheikh

Transport ministry will inaugurate the navigational touristic line between Sharm ElSheikh and Hurghada at the 9th of June to transport passengers and tourists  after its stoppage for 7 years, and with the attendance of Red Sea and SouthSinai governors and head of Red Sea ports authority.

   Awad Abd ElSameea, responsible of the ferry”Labesbes” working on the new navigational line said that this step comes for the encouragement of tourism and passengers’ traffic between two of the most important coastal cities on the red sea. Adding that the ferry flies the Egyptian flag and has been submitted to all inspection processes and accreditation of Egyptian maritime Safety authority and has space for 300 passengers The ticket price is 370 pounds for departure only and 630 pounds for the whole voyage to and fro  The voyage takes 9 hours in case of bus usage.

  On the other hand, Red Sea port authority is now ready for the commencement of Ramadan month Umra and the return of workers and employees from the Gulf countries to spend their summer vacation and Ramadan month in Egypt.  He also declared thar inspection ha s been condensed on ferries working on navigational lines between Egypt, KSA and Jordan.  


  Admiral Hesham Abu S8ennah, head of the authority has also declared that ports of Neuwiba, safaga and Hurghada are also ready for Ramadan month Umra and the return of workers and employees from the gulf countries.  Adding that all three ports are fitted with civilized passengers’ hall to receive passengers and their travel in a way suitable to the Arab and Egyptian citizen and foreigner, where such halls have become equal to its equivalent halls abroad
