Diplomatic delegation visits Alexandria port to support Egypt membership in IMO

Alexandria port has received on Thursday a diplomatic delegation from foreign countries consulates accredited at Alexandria, propagating for projects of importance in the field of maritime transport for the years 2016/2017 and supporting Egypt for the membership of International Maritime Organization “Imo” 

 Admiral Fathy Taha said, in a statement Thursday, that Alexandria port authority is the leading outlet in the Middle East region reinforcing and facilitating international maritime trade to Egypt. Taha added  during receiving the delegation that the port is keen to sign cooperation protocols with international ports; this through international cooperation unity to develop services provided to clients whether local or international. He pointed out that there is concern to develop human factor at the port and establishing other specialized terminals at high standards capable of international competitiveness. He added, “We have great persistence and challenge raising Egypt economy”.  Worth noting that the diplomatic delegation has taken a tour at the port and visited maritime passengers’’ terminal and berths in the attendance of admiral Abd ElKader Darwish, head of maritime transport sector and Alexandria port officials.
