The annual itinerary is renewed for the lucky MV CLIO passengers to visit Safaga and Hurghada

The annual itinerary is renewed for the lucky MV CLIO passengers to visit Safaga and Hurghada.
As the arrival date of CLIO CRUISE - Grand Circle Cruise Line - approaches through INCHCAPE agency, we should recall that the 90 lucky passengers of the Maltese cruise usually enjoy the magnificent regular trips between the Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Aqapa.

The scheduled itinerary of the regular trips is Aqaba – Safaga - Hurghada and vice versa throughout the season, with luxury stays and excursions.

Five facts about Hurghada and Safaga:

1- The port city of Safaga was founded between 282 B.C. and 268 B.C., originally named Philotera.

2- The city of Safaga is considered one of the most important therapeutic tourist centers.

3-Safaga was a merchant port for many years.  Today it is famous for its tourist industry, especially diving.

4- Hurghada was settled in 1905. Its name comes from a plan that has grown naturally since ancient times. During the reign of King Farouk, Hurghada was declared a recreational centre and continued to be developed by Egyptian and foreign investors to become the main coastal resort on the Red Sea, comprising holiday resorts and hotels, and several water sports facilities.

5- Both Hurghada and Safaga are very close to Luxor, as the bus journey takes from 3 to 3 and a half hours from any of them, where extraordinary views await you and some of the most remarkable antiques on the planet, such as the temples of Karnak, the valley of kings, and several tombs, especially that of Tautankhamon.
