Damietta port receives container and phosphate trains

 Damietta port has received two trains for cargo transport through railway network, where train number 2445 has arrived and loaded 36 container of 20feet and 6empty containers of 40feet from the port directed to 6th October city  after the port’s authority has succeeded in accomplishment of containers’ loading on deck rapidly.

 This comes within the framework of complete activation of multi- model transport system to and from Damietta port.

 Similarly, the port has received train number 2468 loading 1000ton of crude super phosphate; specified for export and coming from Asuit governorate for the sake of one of the companies.

 Master/ Tarek Shahin, head of Damietta board of directors has announced that this is considered the fruit of efforts exerted to implement transport ministry plan that glorify dependence on multi-purpose transport by railways; transporting containers and cargo to lighten the burden on land roads and consequently reducing costs of its maintenance, the matter that will lead to reduce of transported cargo costs and this is a result of best exploitation of the authority assets and which is provided with all multi modal transport constituents; “ railways network roads spread all over most of port berths  in addition to land and river transport.
