Red Sea ports authority has announced commencement of implementation works of accomplishing and raising efficiency of southern berth and hinter yards of Suez port of cost 120 million ton, after the cabinet approving the president draft decree concerning transferring some of assets and buildings owned by the state at Suez port at gate 9 region behind southern berth to Red Sea ports general authority to fulfill maximum benefit of the state’s possessions; to implement the developmental plan of Port Tawfik port and increasing port’s berths capacity.
Red Sea ports authority has made a cooperation protocol with the Naval Forces to be its deputy in contracting, implementing and supervision of raising efficiency works and accomplishment of Port Tawfik port southern berth of length 350m draught 6m and developing and raising efficiency of hinter yards of length 400m to be used in receiving vessels and making use of the berth’s hinter yards
