Head of Alex port authority: our vision copes with maritime transport international vision

Admiral/ Medhat Attia, head of Alex port authority has pointed to the importance of Alex port in the process of international trade exchange  and its alliance with foreign trade traffic and what results from this from imports and exports traffic  and re- exporting from different countries of the world.

Attia added that Alex port vision copes with the international vision and its concern with effective role that maritime transport industry plays being one of permanent development cornerstones capable of developing the country’s future.  And continued that we are keen to upgrade  maritime transport  being  the backbone  of international trade as least models cost with great effect, and also concentrates on reducing  lay period of vessel at port, quickening  procedures,  increasing capacity, activating  multi model transport,  increasing logistic performance  and establishing  companies, terminals and new projects  to attract investments and create new job opportunities.

He pointed out that this is within political authority vision and its stress on re-planning Egyptian ports coping with modern era requirements and coping with new generations of vessels and renovating equipment all this comes within the shed light of the state’s ambitious plan to upgrade  maritime transport.

Attia also added that our concern with investment in maritime fields and with maritime industry in general is a future trend and reflects Alex port determination to benefit from geography and nature and also being competitive and achieving just permanent development and providing with quality and safety of  transport services; depending on  specific strategies where human factor is considered  most important  where it is a life or death factor  for us  because this factor  is the responsible for two other  important factors; ports and vessels.
