Revealing reality of SC revenues rumors

There are frequent rumors every now and then showing that the Suez Canal, which is considered an Egyptian economy cornerstone and represents an important source for currency, loses and its revenues are retreating, hence SC general authority together with central authority for mobilization and statistics were keen to issue a statement declaring revenues volume and compared between last months’ imputes and previous ones. Where recent reports declared that SC revenues have witnessed an increase of value reaching 300 million pounds during only one month: 8.4 milliard pound revenues last December against 8.1 milliard pounds last November On the other hand, vice admiral Mohab Mameesh has declared that there is an increase in the number and tonnages of crossing vessels leading to an increase in Canal revenues with a percentage of 5.4% : revenues reached 5.3 milliard dollar during 2017 compared with 5 milord dollars during 2016; with an increasing amount of 272 million dollars.


   Besides, announced revenues volume in past January and February: where navigational statistics have recorded 887 million dollars against 771 million dollars of the same period last year with an increasing amount 116 million dollars with a percentage of 15%.


 All such records prove feasibility of New Suez Canal and followed marketing policy that attract new navigational lines.
