Maritime transport holding: cooperation protocol with private sector facilitating Customs procedures

  Land and maritime transport holding company represented in Amoun, Teba and Abu Sinbel shipping agencies have signed a contract with cars’ Chinese companies in Egypt. The contracting is considered the first of which between public and private sectors, where it guarantees the responsibility of public sector for shipping cars imported from China to Egyptian market on Egyptian vessels.  Moreover, the public sector will undergo Customs’ clearance process instantly on the arrival of cars’ shipment to Egyptian ports, also transport and storage processes   to agencies’ exhibitions all over the republic through Egyptian ports and on Egyptian vessels for the first time.

 The contracting targets developing partnership between public and private sectors, serving state’s attitude making the private sector a partner to its governmental counterpart in all projects fulfilling permanent development and prompting economic growth rates by the end of year by5%.   

 Master Magdy Ibrahim, head of board of directors of Abu Sinbel maritime transport company said that the partnership is considered first of kind and aims at developing maritime transport sector and uplift Egypt in investment sector during the coming period, and that there are many new steps and expectations with investors for mutual benefit between both sectors and making a leap in such sector; declaring that will make use of public sector factories and facilitating Customs’ procedures  for investors in an extra ordinary time.
