Mameesh: Suez Canal ranks a new score during past week by the crossing of 293 vessels.

 Vice admiral/ Mohab Mameesh, head of Suez Canal authority said that navigation traffic at the Canal has ranked a new score and witnessed last week passage of 293vessels with tonnages 22 million, 700 thousand ton: 178 vessels from the north of tonnages 11 million, 500 thousand ton. 115 vessels from the south at the new Canal of tonnage 11 million, 200 thousand ton

 Mameesh has also pointed out that navigation traffic has witnessed for the first time passage of 9 giant vessels of tonnages more than 15 thousand ton. And this assures the authority’s vision in all its projects: developing work at the Canal in order to cope with international variables in maritime transport field, so that the Canal will remain always the first choice for international navigational lines and a main vein for international trade traffic.

 Issued reports from the authority have revealed that the Canal navigational channel has witnessed yesterday crossing of 47 vessels of tonnages  2 million, 900 thousand ton: where the navigational channel has witnessed Sunday crossing of 48 vessels from both directions of tonnages 3 million ton, Monday 29 vessels with 2million, 300 thousand ton, Tuesday 48 vessels of tonnages 3million, 400 thousand ton from both directions, Wednesday 53 vessels of 3 million, 400 thousand ton, Thursday 46 vessels of tonnages 2.6 million ton and on Friday 76 vessels with tonnages 5 million, 100 thousand ton, thus total number during 7 days has become 293 vessel of tonnages 22.7 million ton.
