Commence applying new maritime services tariff as from first of August

 International transport section at Cairo trade chamber has received a letter from Alexandria container handling company- affiliated to land and maritime transport holding company showing commence of applying new services tariff as from the first of august  

 The company has declared that the new tariff has taken into consideration the decrease in value of unloading article, though the increase in prices for importers, also first storage period has been prolonged from 10 to 15 days.  After a grace period of 5 days to facilitate and decrease burdens on exporters, in addition to decrease in energy expenditure value of reefers.   

 As for exporters, the company declared that there will be a reduction in the value concerning containers’ shipping article that are full and giving a grace period for Egyptian exports 10 days at Dekheila terminal. There will also be a PTI, noting that there will be a decrease in energy expenditure of reefers, also studying reduction for the use of dredgers for the clients during packing and shipping of containers.  

 As for owners, the company has declared that there will be a reduction in the value of processes that are undertaken aboard vessel to reduce the voyage cost and encouraging navigational lines to deal with the terminal and attracting other navigational lines.  

 The company has assured its keenness to activate interior and foreign trade volume lightening burdens of exporters and importers so as to compete with global markets.

  The section has also added that it will hold a meeting during the coming period  with the company to debate problem of foreign navigational lines raising services prices ( loading- unloading) of containers for both exporters and importers.
